Bergen and Vestland County Access control

Control who can access each area and when. We provide access control using cards, fobs, codes or mobile devices, which can be connected to fire alarms, intrusion alarms and CCTV.

What we do

The right access for the right people

With access control you no longer worry about lost keys. Access is granted and removed in the system, and you can see who has been where.

We map the zones in the building and who needs access where, and deliver open systems that can be expanded over time. When the fire alarm goes off, doors on escape routes unlock so nobody is shut in.

How we work

From zones to a finished system

Survey

We go through the building, the doors and who needs access to which zones and when.

Design

You get a proposal for readers, locks and control, adapted to escape routes and the fire alarm.

Installation

We install, connect and test every door, and train the person who will manage users.

Operation

Annual inspection, service and help with users and access rights when you need it.

Safety and privacy

What access control must take into account

Access control should keep out those who should not get in, but never shut anyone in. The system also stores information about who has been where, and that must be handled correctly.

  • TEK17 § 11-14 – doors on escape routes must open quickly and easily
  • Interaction with the fire alarm – doors unlock on alarm
  • Personal Data Act – entry and exit logs are personal data
  • Open systems that can be extended without replacing everything
Questions and answers

Common questions about access control

Can we use mobile phones instead of cards?

Yes, many systems support mobile access alongside cards and fobs. We find the solution that suits the building and its users.

What happens to the doors when the fire alarm goes off?

Doors on escape routes unlock when the fire alarm sounds, so everyone can get out. This is tested at commissioning and at the annual inspection.

Can you build on the system we already have?

Often, yes. We look at what is there and propose an extension before a replacement.
